LOWER PRIMARY SPORTS! 27/9/07

Our Sports Day!
Everyone gets a chance to participate in this event.

Everyone is waiting anxiously for their turn to play.

And now! It's our turn to play the game. Eveyone cheer for their friends.

Some of us win and some of us did not. Mdm Nasheda said that it was not important. We should not feel bad if we did not win. The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy ourselves during our sports day!

To those of you who won! Congratulations!

That all....And have a nice day!

IT Corner!

After we had finished our work early, Mdm Nasheda will let us use the computer to do the Ask&Learn online assessments and also the Litespeed. Sometimes we get to practice our Microsoft Word or PowerPoint skills. The latest one that our teacher taught us was how to draw shapes/figures using the microsoft word. She also taught us how to display the grids on the screen so that we can draw the shapes/ figures properly.

SEMESTER 2, 2007

Here are some of our Group Work Activities on display ...

On the topic Fractions, our teacher gave us Hersey's Cookie and Cream Chocolates to every group in our class. We had to share the chocolates equally among our group members. Then, based on the number of chocolates each members received, we wrote down the fraction. Finally, it was time to eat all the chocolates up. Yummy!

Our second activity was to fold the coloured papers and dividing it into equal parts. Then we shaded the part that we wanted and write down the fraction next to it.

This is the Topic on Graphs!

We love Graph! It is easy. Our teacher gave us some colourful strips of paper and then, in our group, we pasted the same coloured strips together in one row and we continue until we had pasted every piece onto the paper. We also learn how to read the scales. It is very important to look at the scale first. This is to tell us what each strip of coloured paper stands for.

We also had a weekend homework. We had to buy a packet of M&Ms peanut chocolates and create a graph at home. Then, our teacher gave us some questions to complete. It was fun. We love to do our home activities with our parents.

Besides Math, we also did a alot of activities for our English.

One of our favourite is the Compound Words. These are very interesting words. We learnt that if we separated the word from one another, we can get two different words.

For example, Star + Fish = Starfish

That's it for now!

Bye!

Poetry Recital - 6th August 2007

We had our poetry recital on Monday, 6th of August in our school hall. It was held immediately after the assembly programme. After all the other classes had gone back to their classes, we took over the whole hall.
We had a great time watching our friends from other classes performing on stage.
Soon, it was our turn to go. We were the last class to go but we surely didn't make our audience go bored. We were a blast! Everyone clapped their hands
and we very proud of ourselves!

Congratulations! Once Again!

Well done Primary 2H!! This is the second time we won the AsknLearn Challenge.
And this time, it was for the month of July!
Let's continue to do our best for the month of August, shall we?

We did Fractions Today!

We all had fun learning Fractions in class today. Mdm Nasheda gave us some chocolates to share with our friends in our own group.

First, we had to decide how to divide the chocolates equally. Then, we wrote them down on a piece of paper.

Secondly, we shared the chocolates equally among ourselves.

Thirdly, we ate our yummy chocolates, then we washed our hands and complete our group work.

Here are some examples of our group work.
